GET INVOLVED

Oak provides an opportunity for you to give back to the community in a supportive team environment. Oak allows for self growth and reflection as you expand and learn about different and varied counselling methods – both as a counsellor and as a member of our team.

COUNSELLORS

You will have the opportunity to provide counselling services to individuals, couples and families in need and have the opportunity to enhance and gain valuable experience while giving back to the community. We are looking for counsellors with a master’s degree in counselling, social work or a related field. We welcome active and retired counsellors.

CLINICAL SUPERVISORS

As a supervisor, you will facilitate discussion and provide feedback to your peers. You will be able to provide insight on varied counselling methods, review methodology and allow for reflection on issues raised both from client needs and the counselling sessions. We are looking for counsellors with five or more years of counselling experience.

“Oak provided me with a sense of community, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to volunteer at such a wonderful organization, surrounded by passionate and driven individuals that are committed to making a change in the field of mental health.”

INTAKE TEAM

As a member of the intake team, you will directly impact our community by connecting individuals with the help they need. You will be responsible for the initial assessment of clients seeking counselling services by conducting intake interviews and assessing clients’ needs. We are looking for individuals who thrive in connecting and reaching out to others. Basic computer literacy is required. An interest in counselling, psychology or related discipline would be an asset.
